- Ende 2009The construction of the power plant begins in the province of Kanchanaburi, a sunny region in central Thailand.
- Juli 2009A contract is signed for the development and construction of the first commercial Solarlite parabolic trough power plant based on direct steam generation and an output of 5 MWe.
- 2008The demonstration project "TRESERT" begins. As part of this project, sponsored by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, the company builds a solar thermal parabolic trough power plant linked to a biomass boiler in the Energy Park of Naresuan University in Phitsanulok, Thailand. The plant produces electricity, heat and cooling.
- 2007Solarlite GmbH is founded.
- 2007In Woltow, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the first commercial solar thermal power plant, with a thermal output of 220 kWh, is put into operation. The power plant is coupled with a biomass power plant and serves to produce heat for a fish farm.
- 2005Joachim Krüger develops a small solar thermal power plant at the company headquarters in Duckwitz.
- 2005Joachim Krüger establishes Solarlite.
- 2004The concept of parabolic troughs manufactured from glass fibre reinforced composites (FRP material) is developed.
- 2001Joachim Krüger, Founder of Solarlite GmbH, develops the idea of manufacturing parabolic trough collectors from light composite material and implements it with the development of the SL 2300.
